Entry #2

Submission 2/2 for #MCRdeviantClub's Found Poetry contest.

I would just like to say that I've already seen a couple entries using the song 'The Sharpest Lives,' and one that used the cut out letters technique. As much as I want to be different, I decided to submit this anyway, if only because cutting out all those letters took so long!

Anyways, this one is about a guy and how his girl goes out on the town every night and he hates it so much that he tries to drink his way out of his misery. But one night, he's drunk and he's just had enough of her reckless behavior that he goes and finds her, and upon doing so, he kills her, beginning a legacy of how he wishes people would act instead of simply feel.

Well, you're out on your own
In the night I'm drunk
Suppose I"m asking, "Leave in time?"
You corrode the poison
On a bender she goes
Remember all the pain
Kiss, surrender, lead
Burn the sun
Rise with these vampires
You abandoned the dark
Go; take your glow
Lust commands the dagger
Blood on Romeo
So give a kiss
The sharpest light - bright love - leave like you from me
Be like me
